About EGC Live Action Movies

I started making these movie back in 2008, when I made my Fatal Fury tribute “Real Bout Fatal Fury – Live Action”.

I actually wanted to make a “King of Fighters” movie, but since I didn’t have as many cosplayers as I needed for that project, I decided to make a simpler SNK game come to Life. And since the characters in that movie also appear in “KOF”, I went for it

(About Blu-Mario being on the film… There’s a funny story behind it, maybe I’ll tell you about it later :3)

At the time I was in College, and so whenever I had the time I worked on my Animation and Film projects, that was the only way to really learn XD
And so, for my next movie, “The King of Fighters ’98 – Live Action”, I decided to dress myself as many characters, so it could be a longer movie… There’s a big lack of decent actors and cosplayers in my home town… And so, my tribute to KOF ’98 came out, and it was a BIG success. Has been watched by hundred of thousands of Arcade fans around the World, and people asked for more.

Later, I got in touch with a Cosplayer from the Capitol City of my state, and he told me he could get me a lot of cosplayers for another “KOF” movie. I went for it, and over 40 guys said they wanted to support the proyect.

The day of the filming, there were only 5 people besides me and the Co-Producer .___.

Yeah, that’s a BIG problem I have, I can only trust very few people here…

There were lots of producing issues because of the proyect drop outs, but anyway, we made and released “The King of Fighters ’99 – Live Action”.
Because the Production not going as it was planned, that movie wasn’t so good… And so, many people commented “98 was better”. And even if ’99 had many funny moments and better animation, the production flaws shoed -_-

BUT, all that was over when I made “The King of Fighters ’99 – Real Life”. Even if there were many problems with the filming, I wanted to make it perfect compared to ’99 – Live Action, and better than any movie I’ve ever done… And people says I have

I don’t think I’ll ever have such I hard time like when I was editing ’99 – Real Life xD

And I won’t, because next time I ain’t gonna trust any cosplayer that says “I want to be in the movie”…
I’ve been talking too much about “King of Fighters”… Turns out I been a HUGE SNK fan since… Always XD

I’ve been playing Neo-Geo Arcade since I was like 5 years old, back then there was a Fatal Fury and an Art of Fighting Arcade near my home… I wasn’t too much into Fighting games until the time I got to Middle School, but once I started seriously playing KOF… It was like a new beginning in my Life as a Gamer… So I just had to make a Tribute (well, several Tributes) to that series :3

But, as a TRUE gamer, I play them all. And of course, not only SNK games.

“Double Dragon M1 – Live Action” was made, because if you’ve seen the Hollywood Film adaptation, you also wanted to make a movie of your own XD
That movie just plain sucked and was WAY out of the game’s Story… So, when I heard the Remix song made by Vertex Guy I ended up using in the movie, I just HAD to do it.

Of course, without a Budget, that was about the best I could’ve done… And I still think my 3 minute short kept the essence of the Original Arcade Game MUCH better than the Hollywood film.

And my Super Street Fighter II – Turbo tribute, well, any kid growing up in the 90′s played that game hundreds of hours XD

But, I actually recorded a long movie featuring 9 fighters, but never had the time to actually edit it… But maybe I’ll post the project on KickStarter later on so I can Finally dedicate full time to it
